Our Story

Hi, I'm Ludo.

Cardabelle started at the end of 2021, after the last lockdown.

While working full-time as a chef, I began making crullers from my home kitchen on weekends. I shared them on Instagram, and little by little, the orders started coming in.

One of the very first flavours I created was Honey Beurre Noisette (HBN), which is still our signature cruller today.

By the end of 2022, weekends had become full-time Cardabelle.

I was making every cruller, packing every order, and delivering them across London by bike. That's when my friend Étienne joined me, and we started trading at markets.

Over the year, we created more than 50 flavours, refined our recipe, and learned from our customers every weekend.

2024

Harrods got in touch after discovering our crullers.

After months of tastings and meetings, we were invited to become one of their bakery suppliers.

2026

We’re now at Maltby and Richmond markets every weekend.

We’re also open for events and birthdays, still at Harrods seven days a week, and working on new projects for what’s next.
